Extremely flexible polyethylene pipes
Material: PE
Standards: UNI EN 12201 ISO 4427 ISO 21004 EN 1622
Application: Drinking water supply
The distinctive feature of S-ONE pipes is their exceptional flexibility, deriving from the combination of high-performance thermoplastic materials with an advanced and innovative production technology based on the extrusion of multilayer profiles. The elastic modulus of the materials used distinguishes the S-ONE pipe due to the better ease with which the pipeline can be curved, with the resultant greater practicality of use in the laying and installation activities (containment of junction costs and work times ).

The distinctive feature of S‑ONE pipes is their exceptional flexibility, resulting from the combination of high‑performance thermoplastic materials with an advanced and innovative manufacturing technology based on the extrusion of multi‑layer profiles.
The elastic modulus of the materials used gives the S‑ONE pipe a superior ease of bending, allowing the pipeline to be curved more easily, which results in greater practicality during installation and laying operations (reduction of jointing costs and working time).
Compared with a PE100 pipe with the same performance characteristics, the S‑ONE pipe requires the application of a force at least three times lower to achieve the same bending radius, as demonstrated by the test carried out in accordance with UNI EN ISO 10619‑1.
Multi-layer S‑ONE polyethylene pipes comply with ISO 21004 and feature physico‑mechanical properties meeting the technical requirements of ISO 4427‑2 and UNI EN 12201‑2 standards for the conveyance of drinking water for human consumption.
S‑ONE pipes exhibit high chemical resistance to the action of chlorinated disinfectants, thanks to the use of raw materials compliant with the requirements of ASTM F2769.
The highest chlorine resistance certification class (Class 5) provided for by this American standard allows their use in service connection systems for water supply with significantly higher confidence levels than other PE100 polyethylene pipes, even in the presence of particularly aggressive chlorinated disinfectants.
S‑ONE pipes are available in SDR 9 dimensional series (in diameters 25 – 32 – 40 – 50 – 63 mm) and are characterised by long‑term resistance to hydrostatic pressure, which allows their use with a maximum continuous operating pressure of 15 bar at 20 °C for a service life of 50 years.
The pipe complies with hygienic and sanitary requirements and features high chemical resistance to the action of chlorinated disinfectants. This makes S‑ONE the ultimate polyethylene pipe for potable water service connections.
The ductility of the pipeline, combined with an inner layer with very low surface roughness, prevents the formation of limescale deposits and organic matrices adhering to the pipe walls, thereby preserving the quality and safety of the conveyed water.
S‑ONE pipes can be assembled using both mechanical joints and electrofusion, in all cases following the installation instructions provided by the fitting manufacturers.
Compliance with applicable standards is continuously verified both through advanced in‑process control systems (ultrasonic devices) and finished product testing (physico‑mechanical characterisation), as well as through third‑party certification issued by internationally recognised certification bodies.
